Activision's bringing Call of Duty: Mobile to the west, it's announced.
The free-to-download iOS and Android take on Call of Duty is a collaboration with Tencent, the gargantuan Chinese entertainment company that has a stake in everything from Epic to Riot. Tencent's in-house development studio Timi built the game using the Unity game engine.
It's a first-person shooter that takes maps, modes, weapons and characters from across the Call of Duty franchise, including Black Ops and Modern Warfare. There's team deathmatch, search and destroy and free-for-all, as well as maps Nuketown, Crash and Hijacked. You unlock characters, weapons, scorestreaks and gear, and get to customise your loadout.
